Abstract

In this paper, to show the distinctions of gender-specific preference as well as the facets affecting potential romantic partner option in online dating sites, we assess the users’ behavioral data of a large online dating service in China. We realize that for females, community measures of activity and popularity of this guys they contact are notably absolutely related to their messaging habits, while for males just the system measures of interest in the ladies they contact are dramatically absolutely related to their messaging habits. Next, when females deliver communications to men, they look closely at not just whether men’s attributes satisfy unique needs for mate option, but in addition whether their very own attributes meet men’s requirements, while when guys send communications to women, they pay just awareness of whether women’s attributes satisfy their very own needs.
