How to handle it While You’re Waiting on Jesus

My five-year-old granddaughter asked me personally the length of time it will be before her household relocated to their new household. Day since six weeks is hard for a five-year-old to grasp, I took her to a wall calendar and showed her how long until moving. Now, every day, she can see how long before the waiting is over as she marks off calendar squares one by one.

We don’t know anybody who loves to wait. Do you really? (I didn’t think so). Waiting is time and effort and, from time to time, may also test our faith. It’s particularly difficult whenever there are no guarantees our waiting will ever result in this life time. Desires we really miss, prayers we’ve been praying, and news we’re waiting to know can tempt us to be impatient, discouraged, to worry, as well as to wonder if Jesus cares.
